Channing's real estate career began just after wrapping up college. Having completed extensive education and a rigorous state exam, Channing became a real estate *Appraiser* in January of 2004. As a native born Californian, Channing was tasked with performing purchase and refinance appraisals in the familiar terrain of California's central valley from Sacramento to Fresno Counties. By mid 2004 with a significant trust built and an advancing knowledge base, Channing relocated to San Diego County opening a Southern California office for Western National Appraisals expanding his firm's California footprint.
While California was being hit with the worst economic slow down in US history and a real estate industry on life support by 2008, Channing stayed with the real estate industry when most were leaving. Channing rolled with the shifting times and unimaginable downturns while partnering with banks performing foreclosure & REO transaction appraisals. Business was sparse and times were uncertain with appraisal business volume at its lowest levels on record. Channing didn't let this real estate industry meltdown stop him from growing and prospering. Having grown up in a family of leaders and business owners, Channing took the bull by the horns and joined his father's firm that was tasked with launching Paris Hilton's beauty lines into global markets. Channing and Paris were side by side in Bologna, Italy 2008 for CosmoProf Bologna, the world's largest beauty expo. By 2010, California's real estate industry was still in limbo and while Channing was still working with banks in an upside-down market, Channing continued to diversify his career resume by partnering with another celebrity haircare product line. In 2010, Channing worked with Beverly Johnson, the first African American super model to grace the cover of American Vogue and successfully launched Beverly Johnson's line in Target Stores across the United States. In 2013, Channing and his partner created and successfully launched their own haircare product line internationally in 3 countries.
By 2013, California was ready to move on from the Great Recession and federally mandated Appraisal Management Companies were the source of the majority of purchase & refinance appraisals. Channing was now senior and most experienced with the appraisal ordering teams and having sold his interests in his celebrity and his own haircare brands, he was ready to capitalize on a recovering San Diego real estate market. Channing began appraising multi-million dollar homes from Poway's gated The Heritage, to panoramic Pacific coast large ocean view homes. Channing never looked back. Channing's focus has become understanding critical home valuations in Carmel Valley home to Pacific Highlands Ranch, Torrey Highlands, Rancho Penasquitos & 4S Ranch. Having appraised over 3,400 homes in San Diego in 14 years, Channing joined Cay, Carly & Patrick adding significant expertise in home valuations to aid our listing and buying clients price better than the competition in realtime.
Channing's philosophy is simple: Clients come first and constant communication with clients is paramount, keeping them fully informed throughout the entire buying or selling process. Channing believes that if you’re not left with an amazing 5 STAR experience, he hasn’t done his job. We don’t measure success through achievements or awards, but through the satisfaction of our clients.
